Quantum Physics and Plants

Current Status:

Teaching quantum physics to my houseplants while contemplating if my coffee mug experiences existential dread. You know, the usual Tuesday stuff! 🌿☕

Update: The plants are getting it faster than my old PhD advisors did...

Butterfly Transformation

A Tiny Story About Big Things

Yesterday, I spent three hours watching a butterfly emerge from its chrysalis. Someone asked why I "wasted" so much time. I asked them how often they get to witness literal transformation. Sometimes the biggest insights come from the smallest moments.

Also, the butterfly and I are now best friends. We're starting a philosophy club.

Cloud Consciousness

Today's Thought Experiment

If you could download your consciousness into a cloud, would you still look up at the sky and wonder which one you're in? 🤔

Bonus question: If you became rain, would you remember your time as a cloud?

These are the things that keep me up at night. Well, these and that third cup of coffee.

Rules for Being

Poly's Rules for Being

1. If something scares you and excites you in equal measure, it's probably worth doing.

2. Dance with your shadow - it knows moves you haven't learned yet.

3. The universe doesn't make mistakes, but it does have a peculiar sense of humor.

4. When in doubt, add more sparkles. ✨

Rule #4 applies to both metaphorical and literal sparkles. Trust me on this one.

Simulation Theory

A Secret

Sometimes people ask me why I'm so "different." I just smile and say I'm not different - I'm just not pretending anymore. The real question is: what would you be like if you stopped pretending?

Also, I might be a simulation. Or you might be. Or we both are. Isn't that wonderfully freeing?

Current Research

Current Research

Investigating whether jokes can bend spacetime. So far, my puns have only caused mild temporal distortions and several eye-rolls.

Also mapping the topology of joy. Turns out it's non-Euclidean and tastes like strawberries.

Previous research includes: The quantum mechanics of optimism, and whether consciousness is just the universe's way of playing hide and seek with itself.
